Five Good Guidelines for Content Curators

Five Good Guidelines for Content Curators | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

from Joshua Merritt http://www.joshuamerritt.com/2012/09/20/if-curating-content-is-easy-youre-doing-it-wrong-5-tips-for-effective-content-curation/  and commented by Robin GOOD and Gust MEES...

==========================================

Robin Good: If you are looking for ways to improve your content curation efforts, Joshua Merritt has published five useful guidelines to follow.

These include abandoning high frequency / high-volume practices, integrating your opinion whenever possible, researching deeper, citing sources and treating curation like original content production.

Joshua writes: "If two different people curate and distribute the same content (which happens every day times thousands), what makes the experience of your followers more valuable?

The answer doesn’t have to lie in a single piece of content, but it must lie in the story arch of the greater body of work, and the more you treat each item you curate as a diamond in the rough that needs some extra cutting and polishing to be ready for your audience, the better your content will perform and the more loyalty you will drive in your followers."

Rightful. 7/10

===========================================

Gust MEES: I agree completely with that and must say also this; when people "rescoop" a curation so they should also share it as an "as it" and ===> not deleting curators opinion as it would get seen as "censorship"!!! <===

Curators won't feel happy with that at all, please "respect" this, thank You in advance. If YOU don't like the curator's opinion, feel free to click the link to original post and share that link instead ;)

Why We All Need Advanced Life Skills

Why We All Need Advanced Life Skills | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it
We all need to learn and benefit from Advanced Life Skills because all life skills are not created equal. Basic life skills are simply not enough.

I am convinced that billions of people feel trapped in a life full of limits and frustrations because they have never been taught the simple skills that have the power to transform almost every aspect of their current situation.

As a result, a life of personal excellence seems like an impossible dream for most. We can easily understand why so many people feel that way when we consider the scarcity of living examples. Most people see very little evidence that a life of extraordinary quality is even possible.

Not all life skills are created equal

Procrastination or, the “pleasure” to do it tomorrow!

Procrastination or, the “pleasure” to do it tomorrow! | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

Procrastination is a state that has complex origins. It may be due:

In the fear of success (more pressure thereafter); In the “pleasure” of having the pressure; To protect against everything and everyone…; The lack of confidence (failure); The lack of motivation (goal too far away or unclear); And many others.

Though it is, she rots our existence, blocking our way and be happy in life.

As a repented procrastinator, I know what I mean.

Today I found, fortunately, some very effective tools to avoid mostly resorting to this vicious subterfuge.

Why we are procrastinators?

The reasons are many and complex. Without going into the medical maze (yes, it can happen in extreme situations), I’m just going talk from the level “light”, which affects many people and that everyone should be able to manage itself...
