Apple stellt die Web-Apps zu Keynote, Numbers und Pages allen Nutzern zur Verfügung. Für die Verwendung von iWork ist damit nicht mehr zwingend ein iOS-Gerät oder ein Mac nötig. Bisher hatte Apple den Zugriff auf die Office-Apps auf Besitzer der entsprechenden Geräte eingeschränkt.

Für die Verwendung reicht die Erstellung eines iCloud-Accounts aus. Danach kann iWork über den Browser unter Windows, Linux oder ChromeOS verwendet werden. Im Account ist ein Gigabyte kostenloser Cloud-Speicher enthalten, der dafür genutzt werden kann, um die Dokumente auf einem Apple-Server abzulegen.

A new report from security firm Avast out this morning reveals the discovery of a new form of malware on the Google Play store, which begins to display advertisements disguised as warning messages to end users when they unlock their Android smartphone. What’s interesting about this malware – or adware, as it’s better known – is that some of the applications where it was discovered already have a large number of installs. For instance, a card game app called Durak has 5 to 10 million installs according to the data on Google Play.

Explains Avast researcher Filip Chytry, the malware was first brought to the company’s attention by way of a comment on the Avast forums, and, initially, he didn’t think much of it.

Dadurch kann eine bösartige Webseite eine beliebige andere Website fernsteuern. Die Angriffsseite könnte etwa einen Webmail-Dienst in einem unsichtbaren Frame laden und auf die Mails des Opfers zugreifen – vorausgesetzt, das Opfers ist bei dem Dienst eingeloggt, wenn es die bösartige Seite aufruft.
