Congratulations to the Belize U-12 Football team for coming in 3rd place at the Codicader Games!   Wilfredo Galvez scored the most goals - video of one of them - in the tournament, which was held in Guatemala.  Excellent sportsmanship!

"AWESOMENESS!  PROUD BELIZEANS!!  CONGRATS to the Belmopan Football School of Talent U-12 who won today's game against Guatemala 4-3 and took 3rd place in the Codicader Games in Retalhuleue, Guatemala.  And that's your morning dose of awesomeness from some very talented young Belizeans!  2 Goals scored by Wilfredo Galvez Jr (Buddy), 1 by Brent Dubon and the other by Kelvin Gordon!!  Buddy scored 9 goals in the Tournament.  That's the most scored by any player in this Tournament!  Pics to follow later!  BIG UP to Coaches Leslie Flowers, Kenneth Budna, Jacqueline Pelayo and all the Parents who believe in these youths.  The journey continues........"

The female football selection is in Guatemala City, where they will be participating in the UNCAF Female World Cup Qualifier.  They play Honduras tomorrow, Panama on Thursday, and the Guatemalan National Selection on Saturday.  Go Team Belize!

The Belmopan City Council had an awards night for the Belmopan Football Association Executive and the coaches of the Kids Cup.  The 33 coaches were also given awards for their hard work and dedication to the youth.  Congratulations!

Feelgood news of the day.  Cornerstone gave out footballs, which were donated by one of their volunteers, to local youths.  Thanks, Cornerstone!

"Cornerstone Foundation handing out soccer balls to the children of San Ignacio and Santa Elena, the balls were received through one of our volunteers named Mr. Ben Milder and his family who were on a trip here in Belize and had allocated the balls and asked us to distribute them to kids so that they can have a positive tool in an effort to give them more opportunity to be proactive about their future."

Congratulations to the Belmopan Bandits, who are travelling to Miami tomorrow to represent Belize at the CONCACAF Champions League.  Go, Bandits!  In related news, FFB had their Football Association School of Talent in Belmopan today.

"A high level delegation from the 2014 back to back Premier League of Belize Champions the Belmopan Bandits FC will leave Belize on Tuesday 27/5/2014 to attend the 2014-2015 Concacaf Champions League draw in Miami.  The Belmopan Bandits FC earned the right to represent Belize after being victorious in the opening and closing tournament of the PLB Belikin Cup."

The Belmopan Bandits will host the Police FC tonight at the Isidoro Beaton stadium in the championship game of the Belikin Cup.  They have created a cool video about the team in honor of their accomplishment.   Go Bandits!
