Free resources are always good for schools and libraries. This doesn't look as slick as Animoto, but would be great for short explainer video projects that teachers, librarians and even students could create. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks fairly easy.

With PowerPoint 2013 or 2010, you do not need any additional program to convert your presentation to video because this feature is integrated in the software. The article describes the steps you need to take to create a video file from your presentation. If you use PowerPoint 2007 which does not have this option, it can be done indirectly.

Anyone who has used the Prezi platform would know that creating a Prezi and uploading it to Prezi.com is easy enough, however when it comes to converting it to a YouTube video, there seems to be no native method of doing so...

The traditional approach to flash movie making has been to use complicated desktop software which are difficult to learn and require advanced programming skills. Toufee on the other hand requires absolutely no technical skills, and its so simple to use that you can get started instantly! Toufee is the only flash Maker that supports YouTube!

If you have no objections to Flash, this is a cool tool for making flash movies. Add you text, images, choose background and buttons, add effects and transitions, and publish your movie on social networks or on your blog.
Basic account costs $5/month or $40/year but that is a small money for the tool that produces great flash movies without any big effort. There is a free trial.

TouchCast is an iPad app that I downloaded recently and have been exploring a bit over the last couple of weeks. It's not often an app come along which really shakes up and existing genre like video, but I think TouchCast does and in a way that can be very beneficial for learners.
