“All kinds of studies have told us that up to 70% of strategic change initiatives fail, not getting the synergies they are looking for; but short-term continuous change initiatives tend to be much more successful. Why is this?” asks David Dinwoodie, the Center for Creative Leadership’s Vice President of Leadership Solutions. - See more at: http://iedp.com/articles/vertical-leadership/#sthash.Zm7EXhxe.dpuf

#HR #Liderazgo Strong Leaders Utilise the Talents of their Team by Alison Vidotto

#HR #Liderazgo Strong Leaders Utilise the Talents of their Team by Alison Vidotto | #HR #RRHH Making love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it
How well do your team members work together? Are they a strong, high performing team? Research tells us that the team you have in place can be an indicator to the success of your business.

There is no question that a great team will take your business to the next level and beyond. But what about a mediocre team? Or a disengaged team? If they are an indication of where your business is going should you be worried?

It is a role of a great leader to focus on the team you are building. Are they the right people for the job? Do they have the right attitude? Are they invested in making your business great? Do they bring talent to the business that you can utilise?

#HR How To Nail It Every Time

#HR How To Nail It Every Time  | #HR #RRHH Making love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it
No person in the world can do two things equally well at the same time. It’s not possible. As a matter of fact, both tasks will probably suffer.
Ricard Lloria's insight:
(From the article): How To Increase Your Focus And Nail It:

 1. Daily goals. Decide in advance what your 3 to 5 biggest objectives of the day are going to be.

 2. Peak Time. Everyone has times during the day where they feel their best, have more energy and are most effective. Plan your most difficult projects during this time.

 3. No Communication Zones. If possible, establish times of the day you will not take phone calls or answer email. Focus in on your project.

 4. Mini-Milestones. Establish small targets you must get to before you stop working or take a break. Most experts agree 90 minutes straight through before a break is optimal.

 5. Batch. Put smaller tasks such as phone calls, e-mails and errands together in one single session.

 6. Early Bird. If possible, get up at 5am and go straight to work on your most difficult or important task. Most of my clients who do this get more done before 8am than other people get done all day.

 7. Pick Up Tempo. You must stay focused on the task at hand when you do this but walk faster, talk faster, type faster, read faster. Do it right, nail it and then go home sooner with more accomplished.

#HR Spencer Stuart: Why Senior Leaders Need to Rethink Learning Intelligence

#HR Spencer Stuart: Why Senior Leaders Need to Rethink Learning Intelligence | #HR #RRHH Making love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it
Today’s environment of rapid change and disruption demands executives who learn fast and apply that learning in order to succeed. While learning is a commonly discussed topic at many organizations, most theories and constructs do not provide a pragmatic description of the kind of learning that makes senior leaders successful — and could potentially predict their future performance. Most executives do not reach the top levels of an organization without being able to swiftly grasp vast amounts of material.

#Leadership How to Mentally Prepare for a Difficult Conversation

#Leadership How to Mentally Prepare for a Difficult Conversation | #HR #RRHH Making love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

How can you mentally prepare for a difficult conversation? You’ll want to think about the logistics (where and when you meet) and your strategy (how will you frame the problem and what you’ll say first). But getting ready emotionally is perhaps the most important work you need to do before you get into the room. Here are a few things you can go do to get ready.
