Luca Brigada's curator insight, March 14, 2013 4:39 AM

An interesting article by James Carter is a dramatist, experience designer and producer about what is storytelling and its value:

For example, Fringe, the hit television show, used transmedia to expand its storyworld and reward its biggest fans. [...]"

Is This Transmedia? Wreck-It Ralph

Is This Transmedia? Wreck-It Ralph | Transmedia: Storytelling for the Digital Age | Scoop.it

Mike Vogel:  "Much of the talk about Wreck-It Ralph this week will be about the fact that it comes out in Digital HD  on February 12th–almost a month ahead of the DVD release. I’m all for anything that makes DVDs less relevant, but I think the transmedia strategy behind Wreck-It Ralph is more innovative than releasing a movie digitally."

Mike Vogel ponders the difference between transmedia and marketing when it comes to Wreck-It Ralph.

Behind the Scenes: Air New Zealand's 'Hobbit'-Themed Video

Behind the Scenes: Air New Zealand's 'Hobbit'-Themed Video | Transmedia: Storytelling for the Digital Age | Scoop.it

Christine Erickson:  "If you were wondering how a horse got on the plane, or what it’s like to film with Jackson, Air New Zealand has released a behind-the-scenes look at the making of its latest in-flight safety video."

Matt Williams's curator insight, March 20, 2016 9:29 PM

Public Perception of OHS- "Even if you fly with us regularly, please pay attention to the safety features of this aircraft, as it may be different..." We've all heard it so many times. Raise your hand if you listen every time.. Me neither.
Air New Zealand (AirNZ) have been industry leaders on putting a 'spin' on the classic Aircraft Safety Demo. As technology changed, the demo transformed from a Flight Attendant in the isle, to an electronic voice through the PA, now videos in the seat back we actually look forward to watching. But how do you ensure the message gets across? Make the demo half the reason they will choose your airline in the first place.
Australian OHS culture is seen by some to be 'Time Consuming', 'Frustrating', even a 'Hindrince' but realisticly, we are talking about our own safety and what really needs to change is the delivery to make us stand up and take note. AirNZ are not only 'leading the charge' on safety in the Aviation Industry but changing the way people feel about flying. It would be amazing to be a part of a team responsible for taking OHS to new Flight Levels for not only employees in the industry, but every passenger whom takes a seat skyward.
